WILD ATLANTIC - Eine Reise zum Meer. Die Färöer is my debut photobook and the result of a decade of travelling, photographing and returning to the Faroe Islands.
More than a collection of landscapes, the book is a personal journey through the islands - their changing light, rugged coastlines, powerful ocean, traditions, people and the sense of isolation that shapes life there. It brings together photographs made across the seasons and reflects my development as a landscape photographer, as well as the experiences and encounters that have shaped the way I see the world.
The story continues behind the photographs. We recently returned to the Faroe Islands to create a film about the making of Wild Atlantic - revisiting places and stories from the past decade while documenting the process, the people and everything that happens behind the images and the book itself.
