A road trip through the Highlands of Iceland
Recently I went on a little adventure together with Benjamin Hardman, an Australian based photographer living in Iceland for more then five years now. Our journey started with a white defender and channeled our way through the Highlands from the North to the South of Iceland. Five days full of gravel roads, deep glacier rivers, volcanos, heavily changing storms and things no tourist has ever seen before.
I am consistently inspired by music, it helps to think more deeply and to notice things you have never noticed before. It opens your eyes, it helps to express yourself and to get close to the things you love. All forms of art have an equivalent in each respective form. And I love combining music and photography.
We finally managed finding a way through the Highlands and we ended up in Vik: Icelandic famous south coast with their stunning black sand beaches.
While listen to music, moments become almost meditative moment. Sitting on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the endless coastline and enjoying the excellent sound of the Bose QC35 was truly inspiring. The wind was heavy but the noise cancellation of the headphones worked perfectly and made me enjoy the moment even more.
